September 14 (EUROPA PRESS) –
At least 18 people were killed on Saturday in new bombings carried out by the Israeli army against areas in the north of the Gaza Strip as part of the offensive launched last October and which has already left nearly 41,200 dead in the Palestinian enclave.
Gaza emergency teams have reported that eleven people have been killed in an attack on a house in the Tufa neighbourhood of Gaza City, including four minors.
Several people have been buried under the rubble of the building, which was completely destroyed and belonged to the same family, according to reports from the Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Shortly afterwards, five more people were killed in a second attack near the Dar al-Arqam school by Israeli forces, which said they had managed to hit several buildings belonging to the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in their latest attacks, as reported by the Gaza Civil Protection.
Two more people were killed in another bombing in the Beit Hanun neighbourhood, and several others were injured near the Al Istikhaba mosque in the Sabra neighbourhood south of Gaza City.
The Gaza Ministry of Health has also confirmed the death of paramedic Haddan Abu Anaba, who had been detained since early December along with his colleagues at the Nasser hospital complex in southern Gaza.
“The Ministry of Health calls on all international and human rights institutions to reveal the fate of dozens of health workers kidnapped in hospitals while carrying out their humanitarian duty,” it said.
