Death toll from Israeli army operations in West Bank rises to 691

September 5 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Authorities in the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), on Thursday raised the number of Palestinians killed by Israel’s military offensive against the enclave to nearly 40,900, which has also left nearly 94,454 wounded since it began following the attacks carried out on October 7 by the Islamist group and other Palestinian factions.

The Gazan Ministry of Health said in a statement that 40,878 deaths have been confirmed so far, after adding another 17 fatalities during the past 24 hours. However, it stressed that several victims remain buried under the rubble and clarified that rescue teams have not been able to reach many of them.

“We call on the relatives of those killed and missing in the Gaza war to complete their data (…) through the records of the Ministry of Health,” the authorities stressed.

The Ministry of Health also said that 39 people were killed and 145 wounded in the latest military operations carried out by the Israeli army in the West Bank, bringing the death toll in the territory to 691 since the attacks that took place on October 7 against Israeli territory.

Of the 39 deaths recorded since last Wednesday, 19 are concentrated in Jenin, 10 in Tubas, seven in Tulkarem and three in Hebron. It is estimated that at least eight of them are minors.
