2K has unveiled NBA 2K25 by covering the important stuff: the cover athletes, the available editions, and the release date. The first trailer with gameplay or gameplay-related news for another day. There is also good news for PC gamers, who will finally receive the next-gen version.

NBA 2K25 is available September 6 and will feature five-time Boston Celtics All-Star and reigning NBA Champion Jayson Tatum on the cover of the Standard Edition. The All-Star Edition will feature Tatum on the cover of the Las Vegas Aces two-time WNBA Champion, two-time WNBA MVP and six-time WNBA All-Star A’ja Wilson. The Hall of Fame Edition will also feature a cover featuring 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Vince Carter, eight-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA Team and NBA Slam Dunk Contest veteran.

The standard edition of NBA 2K25 will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series for €79.99, on PC for €69.99, and on Switch for €59.99, while the All-Star Edition with 100,000 VC and MyTeam content rises to €99.99. Meanwhile, the Hall of Fame Edition is available for limited availability, €149.99, and includes everything in the All-Star Edition plus a Vince Carter MyCareer cover jersey, a Season 1 Pro Pass with four early bird Pro Pass rewards, and a 12-month NBA League Pass membership.

The next-gen version of NBA 2K25 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC, and promises to deliver “the most realistic basketball experience in the franchise to date, giving players the ultimate control to dominate the competition.” PC players will have access to all the same features as PS5 and Xbox Series players, with the exception of cross-play which is reserved for next-gen consoles. NBA 2K25 will also be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in a more technologically limited and fewer-featured version.

“In a year where competition at the highest level and a signature style of play will take center stage, we’re thrilled to share Jayson, A’ja and Vince as the cover athletes for NBA 2K25,” said Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts. “The development team has produced another groundbreaking experience for basketball fans, designing NBA 2K25 to be the next icon in this long-running dynasty.”
