NASA will search for living conditions on the moon of another planet: the details

POT

Last Monday, October 14, the NASA Europa Clipper probe took off in the United States bound for a moon of Jupiter. and with the aim of investigating whether it can harbor life, information that would obviously have representative consequences on a scientific level.

A mission took off heading to Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons.

It is important to note that this probe took off attached to SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket in a launch that was carried out in Florida. It is specified that this mission will arrive in April 2030 at Europa, the moon where the research will be carried out.

“Europe is one of the most promising places for the search for life beyond Earth”
he had added it in statements given to the press Gina DiBraccioNASA official.

One of the objectives of this mission is to provide an answer to the question related to whether this territory can be habitable. If verified, another mission will travel to detect that this is correct.

Along the same lines, Curt Nieburg, who is in charge of the scientific field, indicated: “It’s an opportunity for us to explore a world that might not have been habitable billions of years ago, but one that might be habitable right now.”

The probe is the largest designed by NASA for interplanetary exploration, reaching 30 meters long with its extended solar panels, designed to capture the weak light on the way to Jupiter.

What is known so far about Europe

The first images were released thanks to the Voyager probe in 1979, which revealed some lines on its surface. Years later, the Galileo probe was able to confirm that the existence of an ocean on this satellite close to Jupiter was probable.

On this occasion, the Europa Clipper was sent with state-of-the-art instruments with which the composition of its surface, its structure and also the salinity of this ocean can be determined.

The results of this research will determine if it meets the conditions so that life can be maintained, such as water, chemical compounds and of course energy.
