Fans will vote for their favorite ninja from Naruto
We say this because Shuheisha announced, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the premiere of the anime of Narutowhich would lead a worldwide poll to determine the 99 most popular characters in the series.
The survey is gigantic, as it is not only open to fans from all over the world, but it has a total of 488 eligible characters, since it includes not only the main ninjas of the franchise, but also secondary characters, such as the ramen vendor. The poll, called Naruto 99, will be available until January 31, 2023 and fans will be able to vote once a day, so they still have around 40 days to vote for their favorite(s).
The results will be announced in April 2023, and the winning character will be the lead in their own short manga, which will be run by original series creator Masashi Kishimoto. The characters that appear in the top 20 will be drawn by Kishimoto.
