They will mobilize in front of the Muface headquarters to ask for a solution from the Government and liability insurers
Jan. 16 () –
Several union organizations of mutual public workers will mobilize next January 22 in front of the Muface headquarters to ask for a solution to the current situation of the health agreement, which has not yet renewed the new agreement for the years 2025-2027.
In a statement, the unions ANPE, Fedeca, SIAT, SPP, SUP UFP, USIE and USO have reported that they will jointly take to the streets at 2:00 p.m. on the 22nd to join forces in the face of the open crisis between health insurers and the Government, which represents “a serious risk for the health service of the entire population.”
“Poor management and a total lack of foresight, added to the project headed by the Minister of Health to make the mutual insurance company disappear, have led us to the point where we are now: an abandonment of patients, some of them in treatment, leading us to a dramatic situation of uncertainty,” lamented these unions, which represent a large percentage of civil servants.
Some of these union organizations already mobilized on December 11, and will go out again to demand from the Government a solution for Muface and the insurers’ liability. “We remember that mutual health care has never been free and has even helped to improve the image of companies in the sector,” they stated.
Likewise, they have defended that the arrival in public health of one and a half million new patients would cause “a strong impact”, especially in autonomous communities that are already experiencing a collapse and that could not withstand this new situation.
“In the face of the incompetence of politicians and the lack of ethics of insurers, the union of all officials demanding responsibility, commitment and an effort from the parties to resolve the problem from the Government and insurers,” they conclude.
