ChatGPT can also be used from the iPhone to create content without the need to pay for the service or even without having a registered account in the OpenAI system. If you have a subscription, it will be possible to access the platform’s multimodal tools.

On the other hand, the Cupertino company presented its Apple Intelligence, which will have functions such as summarizing notifications, helping to write messages, editing work, photographs or even obtaining details of a past conversation. All these processes, Apple assured, will be carried out on the device or on the company’s servers.

Why does Musk hate OpenAI?

Apple “has no idea what’s really going on,” Musk criticized the alliance. But this new attack by Musk against OpenAI has as its context the businessman’s animosity towards the generative Artificial Intelligence startup.

And it is worth remembering that Musk himself co-founded OpenAI in 2015, but resigned from its board of directors in 2018, because its executive director, Sam Altman, accepted a multimillion-dollar investment from Microsoft, something that from his perspective betrayed the principles of the company.

In fact, in March he filed a lawsuit against the company, arguing that it abandoned the founding mission of developing AI “for the benefit of humanity in general.”

As part of his efforts to respond to OpenAI’s dominance, Musk founded his own generative AI company, xAI, for which he recently raised $6 billion in funding and whose core product is called Grok.
