Multipoint connection comes to Sony's LinkBuds and WF-1000XM4 headphones

Oct. 28 (Portaltic/EP) –

Sony heralded the arrival of technology multipoint connection to the LinkBuds series wireless headphones and the WF-1000XM4 model, which will receive a software update to enable it.

The multipoint connection allows pair the headphones with two compatible devices (PC, ‘smartphone’, walkman, etc.) to change the audio source without having to disconnect and reconnect the headphones to another source when you want to change to it.

This translates, for example, into the fact that, if the user is listening to music on the computer with his headphones via Bluetooth, and has them also linked to the ‘smartphone’, when a call comes in he will not have to disconnect the connection from the computer and connect that of the mobile, since you can move from one to another smoothly.

wireless earphones LinkBuds series have support for this technology, and as Sony has announced in press release, they will be able to use it with the software update that they will receive in November. The headphones WF-1000XM4meanwhile, will update in winter.
