() — At least five people are reportedly dead after a shooting at a condominium in a suburb of Toronto, Canada, on Sunday night, police said.
Officers responded to a gun call in Vaughan, Ontario, with multiple casualties, York Regional Police Officer Laura Nicolle told , citing preliminary information.
The sole suspect died after an “interaction” with police, Nicolle said during a press conference Sunday night. It did not provide details about the circumstances of the suspect’s death.
The agent told that the incident was “the most terrible call I’ve ever seen in my entire career.”
Police did not share details about what led up to the shooting. Agents are searching the building for additional victims, Nicolle said.
“It seems that there was more than one unit affected,” he said at the press conference.
