In today’s AMD webinar we have been able to see information about the X670 and X670E chipsets, and as we have seen before, brands like ASUS have provided specific information about their upcoming motherboards. In this case, it’s MSI’s turnwhich has provided information on four models, among which we find one with the X670 chipset.
MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
The MEG X670E GODLIKE is considered the most extreme motherboard that we can buy at MSI for an AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processor, and it does it with infarct specifications that go above other companies to make sure it’s the best motherboard money can buy.
Among its specifications, stand out the 24+2+1 power phases, 105 amps each, capable of delivering a huge amount of power to the processor, something important considering that being the Extreme platform, It also has two power connectors to ensure stable power input.
Obviously we find a great connectivity, with 10GbE, 2.5GbE, Wi-Fi 6E and support for PCI Express 5.0 both in the graphics card and in the M.2 slot. Similarly, we find support for Power Delivery in its front USB-C connectorwith a maximum power of 60W supported by a 6-pin PCI Express connector.
MSI MEG X670E ACE
Going down a notch in the MSI motherboard range, we came face to face with the MEG X670E ACEa motherboard that still belongs to MSI’s MEG range, but does so in a more discreet way than GODLIKE.
For example, it does it with 22+2 phases of 90 amp powerwhich, while sufficient for a huge supply, could falter in extreme overclock situations with exotic cooling.
However, we find a good part of the characteristics of the GODLIKE model, Well, for example, we still have 10Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, and support for PCI Express 5.0 in storage and graphics, in addition to the already mentioned USB-C PD 60W port.
It also shares the M.2. Shield Frozen, a heat sink shroud for M.2 drives. which arrives with a tool-less mounting system for the unit that facilitates its installation and avoids handling problems related to the small size of the screws.
MSI MPG X670E CARBON WIFI
We go down to the MPG range of MSI to inform us about the MPG X670E CARBON WIFIa motherboard that arrives with a design more oriented to the majority of users than they want a high-performance motherboard with all the benefits of the X670E chipset, but they don’t want to spend a fortune.
In this motherboard we have provisions to cool the key points of the motherboard, just like in the rest of the models, and between them are the 18+2 power supply phases of 90 amps eachwhich will still be enough to perform high overclocks comfortably.
Being an X670E motherboard, we also have PCI Express 5.0 connectivity for graphics and storage.
At the connectivity level, we lose the 60W fast charge in the front USB-C port, but in return said port supports DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3, so we can connect a screen to that port if we want, in addition to having 2.5GbE and Wi-Fi 6E.
MSI PRO X670-P WIFI
Finally, the MSI PRO X670-P WIFI appears as an option more focused on professional environments, where we lose most of the “toys” that are part of the rest of the models to offer us an affordable and well-finished product, as well as powerful.
Its power conforms to 14+2 power phases, and PCI Express 5.0 support is limited to just one of the M.2 slots. losing this ability in the graphics slot. However, we continue to enjoy high-speed network connectivity thanks to the 2.5GbE adapter and Wi-Fi 6E, which seem to be standard on this generation of motherboards.
