While we’ve seen a Patriot SSD before, MSI has shown off a working prototype of a drive as well. SSD SPATIUM M570, which also works on a bus PCI Express 5.0 and it is capable of reaching speeds of over 12GB/s, as we already showed you in this news item in September. However, since it is a prototype, MSI tells us that it is a preliminary design.
This means that, although the exterior design could remain unchanged -or not-, the only component that is guaranteed not to change is the controllerso even the NAND memory found in this SSD is susceptible to change.
As we see in the performance results, this drive is capable of speeds of over 12GB/s, while read speeds are also over 11GB/s, so it’s a fairly balanced unit in this respect.
It will be available in 1, 2 and 4TB capacities.point at which we can count on a durability up to 3000TBW, more than enough for practically any user to breathe easy in terms of the health of their SSD drive, in case the reliability that SSDs have shown up to now still left someone with doubts.
