MSI has updated its Claw portable console with two new versions MSI Claw 8 AI+ and 7 AI+, that add improvements in performance and battery when equipped with the processor Latest generation Intel Core Ultra 7 and one battery up to 80Wh in the most advanced model, as well as a new ergonomic design.
The company presented its first portable gaming device MSI Claw in January of this year during the CES 2024 technology fair, which was launched with technologies specially designed to offer a fluid experience in Triple A titles.

In addition, MSI has highlighted the ability of this processor to optimize energy efficiency. This is because it offers maximized performance in the gaming experience, while using very low power consumption.
According to the company, with a operation at 17 W, Both the 8 AI+ and 7 AI+ models achieve a 113 percent higher maximum frames per second (FPS) rate than the competitionas well as 20 percent higher average FPS “under identical power conditions.”
Thus, the battery of the model MSI Claw 8 AI+ has been expanded to 80Wh/65W and that of the model 7 AI+ is 54.5Wh/65W. With this, it offers an improved battery capacity compared to the 53 Wh of the original MSI Claw model, extending gaming time.

MSI has detailed that it has also updated the ‘joystick’, the D-pad and the Hall effect triggers, thus ensures more precise button presses and a more fluid experience.
On the other hand, MSI has detailed that the new consoles are equipped with the updated MSI Center M software, It offers an interface with a “more intuitive” design, making it easier for users to navigate through the different services of the console.
They also have various connectivity options with two Thunderbolt 4 ports and the I/O support “more complete”, with this, users will be able to access Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities with Copilot+.
Likewise, they include the power button with fingerprint reader, a connector 3.5mm for headphones and microSD card reader. Specifically, the most advanced model offers compatibility with WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. In the case of the 7 AI+ model, it is compatible with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3.
MSI has also stressed that the MSI Claw 8 AI+ and 7 AI+ offer a extensive video game library, covering titles of Windows and Androidand providing multiple gaming platforms to “satisfy gamer preferences.”
