Just yesterday, Intel announced that they had already found the root of the problem of instabilities and degradation of the 13th and 14th generation Core processors “Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh”. To solve it, the company promised a new version of the microcode to integrate into the BIOSes of the main motherboard manufacturers.
Well, it didn’t take long for them to MSI to have the new BIOS ready for its motherboards with Intel 600 and 700 chipsets equipped with the 0x12B microcode.
Specifically, the new BIOSes are now available on the download websites for each affected motherboard. Thus, the models that can be updated right now are the following:
- MEG Z790 GODLIKE MAX
- MEG Z790 ACE MAX
- MPG Z790 CARBON MAX WIFI
- MPG Z790 CARBON MAX WIFI II
- MPG Z790 EDGE TI WIFI
- MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI
- MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI
- PRO Z790-P WIFI

- Z790MPOWER
- PRO B760-P WIFI
- PRO B760-P WIFI DDR4
- PRO B760-VC WIFI IV

It is recommended that all users of affected processors update their BIOS, even if they have not noticed instability issues, before degradation of the processors can occur.
