More than thirty dead in IDF bombings in different parts of Beit Lahiya, in the north of the Strip

MADRID 27 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

More than thirty Palestinian civilians have died during the early hours of this Sunday as a result of new air attacks by the Israeli Army that have hit several homes in residential areas of the town of Beit Lahiya, in the north of the Gaza Strip, according to the WAFA news agency.

Some 35 people, including women and children, have lost their lives and dozens more have been injured after a bombardment by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on a residential area in which there were at least five homes.

Likewise, ten people have died as a result of another air attack by Israeli troops, this time hitting a house inhabited by displaced Palestinians and also leaving several citizens missing.

These attacks come after at least seven people died earlier this week in an offensive launched against a school in the same town, also used as a shelter for displaced civilians, where the previous weekend more than 70 people lost their lives in another bombing. over a residential area.

To date, at least 42,924 people have died in the Gaza Strip, victims of the military offensive launched by Israel more than a year ago, in response to the attacks carried out by Hamas on October 7, which resulted in about 1,200 dead and nearly 250 kidnapped.

The Gaza Ministry of Health, linked to Hamas, has also raised the number of injured to 100,833, after confirming another 289 since Thursday, although the authorities suspect that the number of victims is higher because there may be people under the rubble or in inaccessible areas. .

On the Gaza front there are more than 600 deaths in the West Bank and some 2,500 deaths in Lebanon, where Israeli forces have intensified their attacks in recent weeks with practically constant bombings, also on the capital, Beirut.
