The president of ENTerritorio SA, Lina Barrera, made a follow-up visit yesterday to a project that will improve connectivity between the municipalities of Morales and Simití, in the south of the department of Bolívarreaffirming the commitment of the entity and the National Government to regional development and the execution of high-quality works in the country’s territories.

The work, included in the Bolívar Pact and managed by ENTerritorio SA, includes the paving of 40 kilometers of roads between Morales and the intersection with the road leading to the town of Cerro de Burgosas well as the execution of complementary works. The total investment in the project amounts to $212.650 million, financed with resources from the Regional Fund for Territorial Agreements of the National Planning Department (DNP).

Once completed, the new road will reduce travel time by more than 6 hours for citizens traveling from the north to the south of the department of Bolívar.
Barrera highlighted the importance of the project for the economic reactivation of a region with great agricultural potential, which needs a better connection with national and international markets. He stressed that ENTerritorio SA will continue working together with communities and local authorities to ensure the continuity and successful completion of these works.

“Our goal is to contribute to the sustainable development of Bolívar, providing infrastructure that improves the quality of life of its inhabitants and encourages economic growth in the region.,” said Barrera, who stressed that the necessary measures are being implemented to overcome the challenges of the project.
