Mor Prom app becomes a national digital health platform in Thailand

Health Mor Prom

Mor Prom mobile app, initially developed to track Covid cases in Thailand, is becoming a national online health platform. The app has been continually adding features and now has 32 million users.

The Ministry of Public Health is collaborating with private companies to turn the Mor Prom mobile app into Thailand’s national digital health platform. The expanded app will provide Thais with a convenient and easily accessible healthcare platform with 12 new features.

The app was initially developed for COVID-19 case tracking and for people to record their Covid vaccination appointments.

The new features will turn the app into a platform that links with pharmacies and many more units of public health services. Currently, some 15,000 service units and pharmacies are connected to the application.

The security aspect of the new Mor Prom application will comply with international security standards for health information and electronic transactions. The National Cybersecurity Agency and the Electronic Transactions Development Agency are providing support in this regard.

The second function shows the results of the Covid tests taken by the ATK method and the PCR method. The third feature allows users to search for a Covid testing unit near them and the fourth feature provides on-the-spot checks through a “beacon” system.
