In this sense, the GPP spokesperson in the European Parliament has transferred her confidence that the European Commission understands the seriousness of the situation and the implications of this attack on the principles of the rule of law, not only in Spain but throughout the European Union and “act accordingly to safeguard them.” Thus, Montserrat has warned the Commission that “this rule represents a frontal attack on the rule of law in Spain with which President Sánchez only seeks to erase the crimes – including those of corruption and terrorism – of other politicians in exchange for remaining in office. the power”.
“Far from the purpose of reconciliation with which it has tried to be justified and as the Venice Commission has already recognized, this law is deeply divisive and has generated deep rejection in the political class, in the institutions, in the judiciary, in the academy and in Spanish society”says Montserrat.

The Amnesty Law has received a unanimous questioning of the judicial world for its clear and evident unconstitutionality.
