September 27 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Israeli Army announced this Thursday that it has intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, presumably by the Houthi rebels, who have since launched several attacks against Israeli territory and against ships with some type of Israeli connection as a result of the offensive unleashed against Gaza. after the attacks carried out on October 7 by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported that the ‘Arrow’ air defense system has “successfully” intercepted a missile launched from Yemen that activated anti-aircraft sirens in the center of the country. “The alarms and explosions that have been heard have been the result of the interception process and the fallen fragments,” according to a statement published on its website.
Minutes later, the spokesman for Houthi military operations, Yahya Sari, communicated through his profile on the social network X that he will “soon” make an “important statement.” The Houthis, backed by Iran, have controlled Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, and areas of the country’s north and west since 2015.
