Mintrabajo unions denounce attempts by managers to take over the facilities

In a video, unions from the Ministry of Labor denounced that directors of the ministry tried to take over the headquarters of the Ministry in Bogotá by force. This situation occurs in the context of the permanent strike. which is maintained by some groups of workers of the entity and which has lasted for more than a month.

According to the capital’s strike committee, “They came to the headquarters with the intention of coming to take over the Ministry’s facilities without or renouncing dialogue and in this sense this committee was totally and categorically opposed.”

The group noted that continues to invite the administration to have a frank and direct dialogue. However, there is no plan to end the strike until an agreement is reached.

“We inform everyone in Colombia that we are still on strike and on full alert”they indicated.

Along the same lines, they indicate that they will be waiting for the protesters of the cause at the headquarters on Tuesday, July 16, considering the possibility that directors will approach again with the purpose of trying to take over the facilities again.

“We invite the rest of the country to stand up and fight in all the facilities of the Ministry, and also to advance all the strike actions as they have done until now, until dialogue is present to resolve this conflict,” mentions the collective in the video.

It should be remembered that days ago the strike committee informed the public servants of the Ministry of Labor that the strike would continue. This is in view of the administration’s failure to comply with the agreements signed on July 2 and the breakdown of the dialogue table.
