Minister of El Salvador visits India

Adriana Mira de Pereira, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, is currently on visit in India for the fourth round of India-El Salvador Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FOC) Consultations.

The consultations are held in New Delhi and were co-chaired by Shri Saurabh Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, and Mira de Pereira.

Both sides reviewed their bilateral relations and discussed bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including trade and economy, health and pharmaceuticals, ICT and e-governance, energy including renewable energy, development cooperation and capacity building, culture and education.

Kumar invited El Salvador to participate in the India-LAC Business Conclave being organized by CII in August 2023 in New Delhi. Both sides positively evaluated their ongoing cooperation in regional and multilateral fora.

This interaction comes shortly after the visit of Alexandra Hill Tinoco, Foreign Minister of El Salvador, to India in February 2023, and the interaction between the Indian Foreign Minister, S. Jaishankar, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hill on the sidelines of the India-SICA (Central American Integration System) Foreign Ministers meeting in Panama on April 25.
