MADRID 10 Nov. () –
The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, made her first public appearance this Saturday since announcing that she had completed chemotherapy on September 9, when she expressed her relief at having completed treatment, describing the last few months as “incredibly hard” and ” terrifying” for her and her family.
“This afternoon, the King, Prince and Princess of Wales and other members of the Royal Family attended the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall (…). The Festival is an annual commemorative concert that pays tribute to all those who have lost their lives in conflicts,” the British Royal Family has communicated on its X social network account.
Additionally, Buckinham Palace announced on Friday that in addition to this official visit, the Prince of Wales’s wife, William, will join the royal family’s traditional appearance at the Cenotaph War Memorial in London on Remembrance Sunday, a commemoration in the United Kingdom which honors British servicemen who have died in the line of duty.
On September 9, the princess announced in an emotional video that she is “cancer-free” after completing a nine-month chemotherapy treatment.
“Despite everything that has happened, I begin this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation for life,” he stressed then.
The princess, who confirmed in March that she was ill after several weeks away from public life, stressed that “the journey of cancer is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially for those closest to you.” The disease, he alleged, reveals “vulnerabilities” and gives you “a new perspective on everything.”
For his part, Prince William of the United Kingdom asserted that, despite the end of his wife’s treatment, there is still “a long way to go.”
