Microsoft will invest 4 billion euros in artificial intelligence projects in France

The American technology giant Microsoft has announced a multi-million dollar investment of around 4,000 million euros in various projects in France. The money will go towards the development of cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligenceas well as to improve French technologies.

This will be the company’s largest capital investment in the French economy. The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, declared that Microsoft’s investments are crucial for Europe to remain competitive in the field of artificial intelligence.

They seek to train a million people between now and 2027

“It is a fundamental step, but it is only one step, because together with you I am looking at what is next. We are entering a completely different world, where the competition will be tough and we can only win if we have reliable partners,” said the president, addressing Microsoft CEO Brad Smith.

The company will also place in France around 25,000 new graphics processors between now and the end of 2025 and will launch a project to train specialists in the field of artificial intelligence. The goal is to train one million people by 2027.
