Microsoft has updated its PowerToys to version 0.63something that comes with several changes, but mainly they reduce the weight of the application both at the level of the installer itself and at the level of the application finally installed, something that is always important if we are in computers with small SSD drives –between 64 and 256GB—.
We can read the full changelog on GitHub via this linkbut what is clear is that the weight of the installer changes from 125MB in version 0.62.1 to 83MB in version 0.63.0while the final installed weight it goes from 817MB in version 0.62.1 to 587MB in version 0.63.0.
These are not very big changes, but in case we are struggling to have some free GB on our drive –especially if we want to install any of the latest games that hit the market—they always come in handy.
Another important novelty is that QuickAccent has a new option to select a language, something that should improve the behavior of this tool and reduce the number of accented characters the user must choose from.
