Xbox has announced that the Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Update will be available for free beginning November 11 this year for subscribers of Xbox GamePass.
Microsoft will celebrate four decades in the making of Flight Simulator with an update that introduces, for the first time, helicopters and gliders, two of the most requested items by game users, as noted it’s a statement.
Along with these aircraft, the company will introduce another feature commonly requested by the community, an actual plane. Specifically, it will offer players the Airbus A-310 model.
On the other hand, players will also be able to fly classic airplanes such as the 1903 Wright Flyer, the 1915 Curtiss JN-4 Jenny, the Grumann G-21 A Goose or the Hughes H-4 Hercules, popularly known as Spruce Goose.
Other models added to this installment are the Douglas DC-3 plane from 1935, the Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis from 1927 and the Havilland DHC-2 Beaver from 1947. On the other hand, they will be added to the game four commercial airports classics, including Meigs Field in the city of Chicago (United States).
Also, 20 classic missions, 12 new planes, 10 glider airports and 14 helipads will be introduced in this special 40th anniversary version.
The company has indicated that, in addition to users of its cloud video game service, players who own a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator on Xbox Series X | S, Steam, will also be able to access this special edition at no cost on November 11 and PCs with Windows 10 and 11.
To celebrate the return of the Gamescom electronic fair, Microsoft Flight Simulator has launched this Thursday your first update intended for cities. this presents five new german cities photogrammetry: Hannover, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Bonn and Cologne; Available for free after downloading within the game itself.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for Xbox Series X|S and PCs with Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, Windows and Steam, as well as Xbox One. It can also be downloaded to compatible smartphones and tablets through the service at cloud Xbox CloudGaming.
