It is rumored that Microsoft is working on a new generation of the Surface Duo, although for now it is unknown when this terminal will hit the market. What is known that it will not arrive is an economic version of it, because according to what we can read in Extreme Tech, this would have been cancelled, with a prototype of it making an appearance on eBay.
According to the information that was available so far, this terminal with the code name Cronos was going to have a cheaper construction in plastic, in addition to a mid-range Qualcomm processor, two cameras and flat screens. This would be so according to what could be seen in the eBay ad, now removed.
One of the theories is that Microsoft would have canceled the plans to launch this Cronos terminal in order to dedicate all its efforts to polishing all aspects of the standard version of the Surface Duo 3which as we mentioned, we still do not know when it will hit the market.
It is possible that Microsoft will end up launching a cheaper terminal in the future, facing the fourth generation of the Surface Duo, Well, a more accessible version of the terminal would be a good idea to increase its market share.
