in 2020 Microsoft changed the names of Insider channels to clarify what its mission is, but today it has made another change in the form of the launch of a new Insider channel, which would be none other than the Canary Channel. Although to many users this name will not sound like much, power users and developers are clear about the purpose of this new channel.
Specifically, the Windows Insider Canary Channel is ahead of the Dev Channel, thus arriving untested code for future features in a very early development situation. Also, builds will arrive much more often on this channel than the restbut they will arrive with hardly any testing, so it will be more unstable by nature.
The creation of this new channel invites you to think that Microsoft is preparing to continue developing Windows 12the next version of its operating system following the surprise release of Windows 11 that marked a shift in the development paradigm of the Windows operating system in general.
For now we just have to wait, but the launch of this new Insider Canary channel is undoubtedly good news, especially for all those who can dedicate a team to testing on this channel and reveal their secrets.
