July 13 (Portaltic/EP) –

The users of the Microsoft 365 apps outdated operating systems will need to migrate to a newer version of Windows before January of next year to continue to be protected and supported.

The January 10, 2023 Support for Windows 8.1 will end, but so will the paid program that provides three years of additional security updates to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

That same date will mark the end of support for security updates of Microsoft 365 applications for the three operating systems mentioned, as reported by the company in its blog Tech Community.

Microsoft recommends that users of these applications for outdated operating systems update to a newer versionespecially because “using unsupported software can increase the risk exposure of an organization or impact its ability to meet compliance obligations.
