“As an authority we do not have images that prove that the young woman crossed into Mexico,” said the prosecutor.
Los Angeles police declared the 30-year-old woman “voluntarily missing” after video footage showed she crossed the border into Mexico on foot.
The prosecutor said that they hoped to make a call this Tuesday with a US authority to address this case that has gone viral on social networks, but said that he did not know with whom they would establish such communication.
