“The Chamber of Deputies issued a draft approval of the reform to article 107 and the addition of a fifth paragraph to article 105 of the Magna Cart Low in a statement.

The Chamber of Deputies reported that 23 approval votes were received to the legislatures of Baja California, Baja California Sur, Campeche, Chiapas, Colima, Durango, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Mexico, Morelos, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Puebla, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala, Yucatán, Zacatecas and Mexico City.
With the reform “it was determined to add a fifth paragraph to article 105 that says that ‘Constitutional controversies or unconstitutionality actions are intended to contain the additions or reforms to the Constitution,” said the Chamber of Deputies in the document.
After its approval in most state legislatures, the reform of constitutional supremacy is expected to be promulgated by the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, in the following hours, and then made its publication in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) and Its enforcement 24 hours later.
The constitutional supremacy reform was endorsed by the Senate on October 25, with 85 votes in favor and 41 against. And for the Chamber of Deputies this Wednesday with 340 votes in favor and 133 against.
The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, criticized the opposition for the use of the term “constitutional supremacy” and pointed out that the Court mentions that word in various documents.
The president stressed that in article 133 of the Constitution he says that it is “the maximum law.” SHEINBAUM said that “the Constitution is not being violated”, and that “it is part of the rule of law” of Mexico.
