Mets anthem ‘OMG’ spikes 70% in streams after NLDS win

He Mets Anthem “OMG”,” played by infielder José Iglesias, earned his own big win this week.

The fan-favorite pop hit enjoyed a nearly 70% increase in streams on Wednesday as the Mets defeated the Phillies in the NLDS, a Spotify representative told The Post.

Iglesias, 34, a native of Cuba who is also Latin singer Candelito, performed the beloved tune on the field after his victory, as his teammates cheered him on.

Jasmine Buzeta, a native of Flushing, Queens, was at Wednesday’s game, which happened to be her birthday, and said the song sparks a “unique set of emotions” for Amazins fans.

“It’s more than a song, it celebrates the spirit of the game. “The connection between sport and song creates a feeling of shared enthusiasm and admiration,” he said.

Since its release in June, the song was most streamed on Spotify in the tri-state area on Oct. 4, the day after the Mets beat the Brewers in the National League Wild Card Series.

On Friday, Iglesias published a remix with pitbulljust in time for the team’s National League Championship Series.
