Konami, as we have mentioned on many occasions, is one of the Japanese companies that forged its prestige in the video game industry based on launch after launch of franchises that became popular with the public and that today has not been able to to replicate; however, the impact of its IP in its golden age was enough to keep it inertia. A clear example is metalgearwho is celebrating his birthday today and that Konami will celebrate with a return… although it is not the one that his followers expected.

Even though the franchise metalgear has been inactive practically since Hideo Kojima left Konami, the franchise continues to be one of the most remembered by fans. In fact, it is mainly them who remember their anniversary year after year since their debut and today is no exception.

The tactical espionage action series debuted on July 13, 1987 with metalgear for the MSX2 computer in Japan. That said, today the IP has just been one of the few that have been on the market for 35 years.
