July 7 (Portaltic/EP) –
Goal is working on a way that Users can independently delete their Threads account of the Instagram account, since for the moment, they work jointly in both social networks.
The company directed by Mark Zukerberg launched this Thursday its new ‘microblogging’ platform, designed for “share ideas and trends with text”, Threads. A social network that reached more than a hundred countries around the world with a design very similar to Twitter, in which users can share experiences and opinions from short text publications.
Although Threads is a Social network independent from Instagramin order to use it, you must access through an existing account on the video and photo platform. This makes it easy to import the user’s profile to this new ‘app’ and the accounts they follow.
However, a few hours after its launch, some users were able to verify that if they want cancel your account in this new ‘app’must delete your account on instagram. Likewise, it is also specified by the company itself in its complementary privacy policy.
Within this framework, Meta has begun to look for a way to be able to delete the Threads account independently to that of Instagram, as has been pointed out by the Instagram Manager Adam Mosseri through a thread post.
“Threads works with Instagram, so right now it’s just an account”, Mosseri explained, at the same time as he assured that from Meta they are looking for “a way to delete your Threads account separately.”
Following this line, Mosseri has detailed that, for the moment, the Threads account can be deactivated hiding the profile and content on this social network. In addition, he has also recalled that users can choose to set profile to private and what can be delete posts from individual threads.
