During the Meta Connect Annual Conference, the executive mark zuckerberg officially announced the new VR headset (virtual reality) high-end, the Meta Quest Pro.

The device will be available to buy on October 25 for €1,799.99, £1,499.99 and 1,499.99 dollars (more than 6.9 million pesos). This includes the viewfinder, Meta Quest Touch Pro controls, stylus tips, partial light blockers, and a charging cradle.

During his speech, Zuckerberg highlighted that this device is new in the line of advanced viewers, “built to expand the possibilities of VR”.

It takes what people love about Meta Quest 2 and adds a host of new technologies to help you do more in the metaverse. It’s built for collaboration and creativity, and with mixed reality built in, it lets you do things that haven’t been possible before. All this with an elegant design that is comfortable to use. Whether you want to work in a new way, or simply want the best experiences available today… this sets the standardZuckerberg added.

Meta Quest Pro is the first entry in Meta’s new line of high-end devices and features include the high resolution sensors for robust mixed reality experiences, Crystal-clear LCD screens for crystal-clear visuals, an all-new, sleeker design, plus eye-tracking and natural facial expressions to help your avatar more naturally reflect you in VR.

The company highlighted that the VR developer ecosystem “is booming”.

Till the date, “over $1.5 billion has been spent on games and apps on the Meta Quest Store”. And they revealed that there are a lot of new games and wholesome experiences to come.

The Avatar Store is expected to launch in VR in late 2022.
