Medvedev threatens to attack the tank factory that the German Rheinmetall wants to build in Ukraine

March 5 () –

The former Russian president and current vice president of the country’s Security Council, Dimitri Medvedev, has threatened this Saturday to carry out an attack against the tank factory that the German Rheinmetall plena will build on Ukrainian soil.

On his Telegram channel, Medvedev has ironically stated that if the tank factory is finally built in Ukraine, the event will be “duly welcomed” with ‘Kalibr’ cruise missiles.

“If, despite everything, the Germans decide to really build there (although they are pragmatic people), we look forward to it. The event will be duly welcomed with ‘Kalibr’ and other pyrotechnic devices,” said the former Russian president.

Medvedev’s statements come after the German arms company Rheinmetall has announced that it is negotiating the construction of a tank factory in Ukraine capable of producing about 400 Panther-type tanks each year.

According to the company, the cost of building the plant is estimated at around 200 million euros, according to the head of the consortium, Armin Paperge, in an interview with the German newspaper ‘Rheinische Post’.
