Organized attacks against works of art continue and, for the moment, they do not stop in Europe. Two German climate activists have launched this Sunday a pot of puree against one of Monet’s paintings which was in one of the Berlin museums.
The action, according to local media, has been carried out by four individuals who have acted without security members being able to do anything to avoid the situation. Subsequently, the two activists who threw the mash have stuck to the ground. The museum staff works to examine if there has been damage to the workAt the moment, there has been no statement from the German museum.
Just two weeks ago, several activists threw cans of tomato soup at one of the paintings of ‘The sunflowers‘ by Van Goh at the National Gallery, London. Despite having a protective glass, the frame was partially damaged. The cause of the protest was the reactivation of gas extraction practices through fracking.
On October 9, two other activists had attached themselves to a painting of picasso in the Melbourne museum, in that case, the painting was protected.

The attack, like the rest of the same ones that have occurred in Europe during these weeks, has as a background the demands of these groups in relation to climate change. At the end of all of them, the activists in charge of executing them have recorded themselves listing a series of proclamations related to pollution. The group has already claimed the action.
