After several years as a PlayStation exclusive, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Formidably debuted last week on PC. Naturally, there are already plenty of fans on this platform enjoying this new Peter Parker adventure, but there are also some who are sifting through the files within the title and have just found a hidden multiplayer mode.
It didn’t take long after the official release of the game for the player and modder dniwetamp to share on Twitter the discovery of interesting information in the title’s executable file.
In it, you can see string information that refers to a multiplayer mode for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. In case you didn’t know, this title doesn’t have an official multiplayer mode, but rather it’s a completely single player experience, which suggests that Insomniac Games even imagined or even experimented with a multiplayer mode for the title.

How would multiplayer work? Marvel’s Spider-Man?
For example, lines such as “Superior Spider-Man” and others were found indicating that Peter Parker or Miles Morales is the “Superior Spider-Man”. Apparently, the multiplayer mode would be competitive and would somehow face 2 players (one controlling Morales and the other controlling Parker) to see who was the better superhero.
Unfortunately, neither the final title nor its remastered version for PlayStation 5 and PC did not have any multiplayer modes and Insomniac Games has never spoken about it, so fans can only speculate on the studio’s plans.

This could lead one to think that Insomniac Games would continue with the idea of making a multiplayer title for this franchise possible and that the ideal opportunity would be with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. However, it has already been confirmed that this installment will also be for one player.
However, we must remember that Insomniac Games has already confirmed that it is working on a multiplayer experience, but this project has not been revealed so far. Currently, the studio is officially working on the new games of spider-man Y Wolverines.
