Just 2 years after its original release for PS4, Marvel’s Spider-Man It came to PlayStation 5 through a remastered version that incorporated visual and performance improvements. In the original version of the open world game, Peter Parker’s face is based on John Bubniak’s. In the re-release for Sony’s next-gen console, however, Insomniac Games opted to redesign his face to more closely resemble that of the Ben Jordan model.

According to the developers, the change was intended to make the character’s face better align with voice actor Yuri Lowenthai’s performance. “In order to offer players the best performances in our games of Marvel’s Spider-Man state-of-the-art, we changed the actor who serves as the model for the face of Peter Parker.”

Since then, the arachnid superhero has the face of the Ben Jordan model in the remastered version of the title, both for PS5 and PC, and in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. It is to be hoped that this will be repeated with the second installment that is currently in development.

Specifically, the user DaigronCDM surprised locals and strangers alike with his most recent project: a mod for PC from Marvel’s Spider-Man which brings back the original face of Peter Parker that we saw in the PlayStation 4 version.

Although the face is a little different from the one we met in the original title, it is undeniable that the relationship is surprising. In addition, the author of this PC mod stated that he will try to improve the design if he “finds the technical possibilities”.
