Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection physical edition does not include cartridge in Europe
To celebrate the launch of the collection, the official account of Capcom Europe shared a post on social media to confirm that it is now available in digital stores on all platforms. He also shared more details about the physical edition.
Unfortunately, the European account of the Japanese company confirmed that the physical version for Nintendo Switch of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics will not include a cartridge in that region. Instead, the box will have a code which will allow the collection to be downloaded through the eShopthe console’s digital store.
The PlayStation 4 version does include a disc in Europe, according to the company’s statement. On the other hand, it is expected that the physical releases for Sony’s console and Nintendo’s hybrid platform will include a disc or cartridge in the rest of territories.
After passing through the arcades and consoles, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes arrived in digital stores Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2009; however, it was removed from the lists December 17, 2013 due to licensing issues. For over a decade, most players had no way to play it legally.
