Maroto calls for the involvement of all administrations to save Abengoa

New meeting of the monitoring table next Monday

July 8. () –

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, this Friday called for the involvement of all administrations to save Abengoa and expressed her confidence that next Monday, the date on which the monitoring table will meet again, keep coming up with solutions.

Maroto, in statements to TVE collected by Europa Press, recalled that the Government approved two restructurings of Abengoa in 2019 and 2020 and that it was the Andalusian Government that did not want to help the company in 2020.

“I hope that all the administrations are up to the task”, said the minister, who assured that the Government has done “their homework these days”, analyzing the company’s situation well and defining the area in which to move.

Thus, he reiterated that “clearly” Abengoa must save “what has value”, for which he has once again asked for the involvement of all administrations.

“I hope that on Monday we continue working and putting solutions on the table. The Government was, is and will always defend Abengoa’s industrial capabilities and employment,” he concluded.
