( Spanish) — One person died and another was seriously injured this Sunday in a shopping center in the Colombian capital in what -for the moment- is believed to have been an attack by a person against his partner, as reported in Twitter the mayoress of Bogotá, Claudia López Hernández.
According to the official, a man entered Unicentro -located to the northeast of the city- and after arguing with the woman, who worked in a store, “shot her” and then tried to take his own life.
López said that the subject “shot himself after committing the femicide, but managed to be transferred to a hospital although his condition is very delicate.”
The mayor added about the attacker that “he worked in a security company and presumably for that reason he was armed.”
López Hernández said that the Police “has the place under control and is carrying out the investigation.”
tries to obtain more details of the incident with the Police, which until this Sunday night had not been publicly pronounced.
The incident caused alarm on social networks, especially since the shopping center is visited by dozens of people during the weekends and, above all, because this Sunday is Mother’s Day in Colombia.
