Pasco Florida Killer

() — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in Holiday, Florida, in connection with the slaying of an Uber Eats driver who was making his last delivery of the night on Wednesday, April 19, police said in a Press conference this Tuesday. Holiday is located approximately 30 miles northwest of Tampa.

Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said police arrested Oscar Solis Monday after discovering human remains on his property after the victim’s wife reported her husband missing.

“This was an absolutely horrible crime of passion,” Nocco said. “What he did was demonic.”

was unable to determine from online court records whether Solis has legal representation.

According to Nocco, the victim, whose name authorities did not release, was completing his final delivery not far from his home and texted his wife at 6:43 p.m. last Wednesday saying he would be home soon. .

Nocco said the wife texted her husband at 7:13 p.m., but there was no response.

The victim’s wife reported her missing that night, and officers began their investigation.

According to police, Uber Eats provided police with GPS coordinates that led them to the last known location, which was 3438 Moog Road in Holiday.

According to Nocco, police did not contact anyone, but he returned to the house on April 21 and made contact with the suspect’s roommate.

“The roommate was able to provide us with video, and you can actually see the victim walking into the house to deliver food, but the video cuts out at that point,” Nocco said.

According to Nocco, the video was picked up the next day and showed the suspect carrying garbage bags around the side of the house with another person.

Detectives asked permission to search the trash bags and discovered human remains in them, Nocco said.

Nocco said Solis was immediately arrested for violating probation outside of Indiana and failing to register in Florida as a convicted felon. Nocco said police arrested him Monday for premeditated murder while he was participating in a robbery.

He added that police are continuing to investigate and said the killing appeared to be random and there did not appear to be a connection between the driver and the suspect.

“All it seems is that there was a gentleman who was working, he was making his last delivery of the night, and this person killed him for no reason, and took him away from his family,” he said.

In an emailed statement to , an Uber spokesperson said: “We are heartbroken by the news of this horrific crime.”

The statement adds that there is no reason why the victim “should not be home with her family today, and we are thinking of her loved ones. We have been in close contact with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office throughout their investigation and we thank them for their dedication to this case.”
