The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, has transferred his “solidarity and support” to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, after the alleged attempted Ukrainian attack against the seat of the Russian Presidency, the Kremlin, in Moscow.
Both presidents held a telephone conversation on Thursday, at the initiative of the Venezuelan side and in which Maduro said he was speaking “on behalf of the people of Venezuela”, as reported by the Kremlin press service in a brief statement.
Likewise, Maduro and Putin have addressed a variety of other issues, especially those related to the commercial, economic, energy and humanitarian branches; and have agreed to “continue contacts at various levels.”
President Maduro already expressed the day before his “total condemnation” of the “attempted assassination, to a degree of frustration”, allegedly committed against Putin and that the Russian authorities have attributed to Ukraine with the connivance of the West.
The Russian presidency reported this Wednesday that it shot down two Ukrainian drones in the vicinity of the Kremlin whose objective would be to end the life of President Putin. kyiv, however, defended that it does not attack “nor Putin to Moscow” and focuses on defending its own territory.
