Macron calls for a Ukrainian "counteroffensive" that forces Russia to talk

The President of France, Emmanuel Macronadvocated this Friday at the Munich Security Conference for “intensify support” to Ukraine until I can “throw a counteroffensive” to force Russia to talk under “credible” conditions and “chosen” by kyiv.

In his speech at this defense forum, he also called for reform of the international order –Security Council of the UN included-, to increase European investment in defense, in alliance with the NATO but also at a continental level, beyond the limits of the Union European.

Russia did not digest the end of an empire and I think that clearly the deep reason for this conflict is post-1990 resentment,” Macron said, adding that there will be no peace in Europe until the Russian question has been resolved.
