Thanks to this, Luke focuses on an overwhelming offense from medium and short distances, so his main attacks are the Flash Knuckle, a blow that can be charged up for more effect; Rising Rocket, a powerful anti-aircraft with anti-projectile applications; and the Sand Blast, a terrifying presence even at a distance due to his speed being so high.
Additionally, Luke’s V-Triggers increase through damage dealt and over time, while decreasing when using special moves and taking damage. That gives him a huge advantage when his opponents are offensive ones, as he can wait for them with recharged strength.
Will Luke be Ryu’s replacement?
The years do not pass in vain and Ryu, the main character of Street Fighter, he might be about to hand over the baton. Because of this, and in the words of series designer Kaname Fujioka, Luke is poised to serve as “another Ryu” to win over a new generation of franchise fans.
