The Logitech G Gaming Handheld, as Blass has baptized it, uses Android and has access to Google Play, so it will be able to run locally all the applications and games available in the digital store. Shortcuts to cloud gaming services that the device supports, including Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia’s GeForce Now, also appear in the interface. We also see the Steam icon, which would indicate support for Remote Play Anywhere, a function that allows you to stream games from a PC to another device.
In the interface we also see the Chrome and YouTube apps. On the other hand, in the upper left there are five navigation icons, while on the right the time and status of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and battery are reported.
At the design level and as we can see in the images, the Logitech G Gaming Handheld is a portable device where the color white predominates and whose size is close to that of a Nintendo Switch. On the front we have a panel with a considerable bezel. On its left we find a crosshead and a joystiq accompanied by a yellow button with the Logitech logo, while on the right side the classic X/Y/A/B buttons, a second joystiq and the Home button are installed. Right above there seems to be a speaker.
At the top of the device there are two bumper and two trigger, as well as other buttons that have not yet been identified. One of them seems to be to disable the sound, while another one would allow to adjust the volume. There is also what could be a slot to insert a microSD card.
For now we don’t know anything about the Logitech G Gaming Handheld’s data sheet, but we can speculate on it. Since TheVerge They point out that this device would be one of the first to use Snapdragon G3x, a Qualcomm platform designed to power Android handheld consoles. This chip, which was presented together with a Razer prototype, has an Adreno GPU that allows you to run or stream games at 144 FPS, with HDR and up to 4K resolution. In addition, its connectivity includes 5G.
