During Tuesday, the approval of the most controversial points of the articles was achieved, among them article 3, that defines the pillar system structure, in which a good part of the debate focused on the contributory pillar and the ceiling of three minimum wages that establishes the ceiling on the contributions that must go to Colpensions.

Among the articles that were approved in this Wednesday’s session are articles 57, 58, 48, 36, 67, 69, 72, 85, 88, 90 and 94.
Article 36 establishes a benefit in the reduction of weeks for women with children in recognition of unpaid work. In this regard, the Minister of Labor, Gloria Inés Ramírez, stressed that, although initially a reduction of 50 weeks was established for each child up to 1,150 weeks, she requested a change to adapt this point to lower it to 1000 weeks, according to the most recent decision of the Court.
Article 76 is another point that has generated division. This section defines how the transition regime would take place, setting its starting point at 1000 weeks.
Throughout the debate, the age to enter this regime was discussed. In this regard, the Ministry of Labor announced that an agreement was reached establishing that the transition regime for men would be 900 weeks and 750 weeks for women.
