RIGA, June 23 (DPA/EP) –
The Lithuanian Prosecutor’s Office has reported this Friday that it will not open an investigation against the Rammstein singer, Till Lindemann, for sexual crimes after a woman claimed to have been drugged after a concert by the band held in May in Vilnius, the capital of the country.
“No objective evidence was established to prove the fact that the applicant had been subjected to physical violence or mental coercion, as well as any other forced act of a sexual nature, and that narcotic substances had been supplied to her (without her knowledge”, reads the statement.
As reported by the Prosecutor’s Office, the Lithuanian Police questioned the woman who made the complaint, as well as a witness who was present, and after collating all the information, they have ruled out opening an investigation due to lack of evidence.
In recent weeks, several young women have made accusations against Lindemann, in which they claimed that they were selected to attend an exclusive party after their concerts, in which they were offered alcohol and drugs, some of them being minors.
The various complaints from the group’s fans also include cases of violence and sexual abuse, as well as other types of sexual acts under the influence of drugs, supplied to women without their knowledge and consent in their drinks.
The Berlin Prosecutor’s Office did decide to open investigations against the singer last week for an alleged crime under article 177 of the German Penal Code, which regulates sexual assault, sexual coercion and rape, the ARD chain reported.
