() — Lindsay Lohan and Aaron Carter starred in one of the most famous teen dating stories of the early 2000s, and now Lohan is reminiscing about the singer.
In an interview with “Access Hollywood” To promote her new Netflix Christmas movie “Falling for Christmas,” Lohan opened up about Carter, who died over the weekend at age 34.
“So many (memories) from when I was so young, from that time in my life…and my prayers go out to his family and may he rest in peace and God bless him,” Lohan said.
The couple dated in 2003 after he split from teen actress Hilary Duff, whom he began dating in 2001.

Carter and Lohan ended up breaking up and he got back together with Duff for a while before they broke up for good.
“I started dating Hilary when I turned 13. I dated her for like a year and a half, and then I got a little bored, so I went and started meeting Lindsay, dating Lindsay,” Carter said in 2005 during a interview on “The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch”. “Then I didn’t want to do that anymore, so I went back to Hilary.”
Duff published a tribute to Carter in his verified instagram account after his death.
“To Aaron: I am deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to fight in front of the whole world,” Duff wrote.
“You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent…my teenage self loved you dearly,” she continued. “Sending love to your family right now. Rest easy.”
