A few months ago it was confirmed that Konami reached an agreement with Liga BBVA MX so that eFootball became the home of the first division of Mexican soccer. People have been waiting to see this novelty in the game and, fortunately for all of them, it already has an arrival date.
Through a blog postKonami shared the main news that Season 1 of eFootball 2023which will make its debut on August 25, 2022. One of its main novelties will be the arrival of Liga MX to the soccer game.
Thus, in a few days, eFootball players will have the opportunity to enjoy matches with the 18 teams of the first division of Mexican soccer. In this way, Konami will have the following teams:

- Blue Cross
- Cougars
- Chivas
- Atlas
- Queretaro
- Pachuca
- Toluca
- Puebla
- Xolos
- FC Juarez
- Monterey
- tigers
- Santos Laguna
- Mazatlan FC
- Athletic San Luis
- Necaxa
- Lion Club
It is worth mentioning that Club América signed an exclusivity agreement with Konami to become its special partner. Thanks to this, eFootball will have the rights to the uniform, names and physical images of the players and any iconography associated with the team. Also, Konami will do a 3D scan for Estadio Azteca to appear in the game.

eFootball 2023 will have other news
It is worth mentioning that Season 1 of eFootball 2023 will arrive with other news. Among them is the debut of AC Milan and Inter Milan as new official licenses for the eFootball 2023 team catalogue.
That’s not all, as Season 1 will also include new types of players that you can get. One of them is the Featured Players, which are players selected based on their performances in the current season. What makes them interesting is that they have higher progression potential than Featured Players.
The other new type of player is the Epic level. These are players who seek to recall great seasons of footballers from the present and the past. They have higher progression potential than legendary players. Some examples we will look at are Wesley Sneijder and Clarence Seedorf.
On the other hand, Konami announced that Trent Alexander-Arnold, an England right back who plays for Liverpool, as well as Bruno Fernandes, a Portuguese midfielder for Manchester United, will join as ambassadors of eFootball 2023.
