LG Unveils Its First UltraGear Curved Gaming Monitor With OLED Technology

26 Aug. (Portaltic/EP) –

LG has presented the company’s first monitor that incorporates OLED technology in a curved format, which offers a panel of 45 inches, a refresh rate of 240Hz and that it is focused on ‘gaming’.

LG ULtraGear OLED (45GR95QE) features a borderless design, a 45-inch footprint, WQHD (3440 X 1440) resolution, and a DCI-P3 color gamut with 98.5 percent color space coverage.

This model developed by the South Korean manufacturer is the brand’s first curved ‘gaming’ monitor that integrates OLED technology, with a refresh rate of 240Hz and an aspect ratio 21:9 UltraWide.

In addition, it is also a pioneer in the LG catalog for combining a screen size of these inches with a 800R curvature. This, according to the brand, allows you to maximize the feeling of immersion.

On the other hand, it offers superior HDR10 performance, HDMI 2.1 support, including features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and DisplayPort 1.4. It also integrates multitasking functions with features such as Picture-by-Picture (PBP) and Picture-inPicture (PIP).

Unlike the predecessor model, LG UltraGear OLED adds a coating Anti-glare & Low Reflectiondeveloped by LG, which prevents glare or reflections on the screen.

The technology company has announced that this will be one of the novelties that it will soon show at the IFA consumer technology and electronics fair in Berlin, which will begin on September 2. In this event, the model before this one will also be present, LG UltraGear 48GQ900 OLED.

It should be remembered that a few days ago, a spokesman for LG Display stated that the South Korean manufacturer was also preparing a new flat panel with OLED technology that will have a size between 20 and 30 inches and that will place it in a product family of intermediate size.
